Written after Melbourne supporter David Wright wondered whether it was a joke that the Melbourne Football Club were after uncontracted players: Travis Cloke of Collingwood and Travis Boak of Port Adelaide.
Is it a joke? Give me a poke.
The MFC want to buy Travis Cloke?
Want kind of folk would take on that bloke?
The cash they'd be talking would send the club broke.
And if at a stroke, you also take Boak,
Guffaws from the grandstand you're sure to provoke,
The shame they'd invoke would make the team choke,
And their memberships then would supporters revoke.
