"Clover", the hue, is the colour of various shaded green leaves, certain vegetables, ancient pottery and some specimens of Jade.
Due to the true green colour of chlorophyll, most plants have leaves more yellow than this hue in full sun. But deep shade inevitably takes the hue somewhat toward blue and thus it is that this hue contains many strongly shaded leaves. Ferns and indoor plants are usually in deep shade most of the time so we tend to remember them in that state rather than in full sun.
As is the case for Green there has always been a lack of clean, stable pigments for this hue. Even today most brighter greens are obtained by mixing blue and yellow. Nevertheless there are modern pigments in nearby hues that can be used, such as: Pthalo Green from copper(II) with chlorinated phthalocyanine, Cobalt Green and Cobalt Turquoise from cobalt(II) titanate (CoTiO3).
