"Yellow Cheese", the hue, lies just to the Orange side of Yellow. It is associated with oils, fungi, dairy foods, fried foods, seeds and dung.
Today there is spectacular bright Cadmium Yellow Mid that is exactly the colour of Yellow Cheese. Other than that there are all the other yellow pigments both modern and old but they are not this precise hue.

Importantly for artists it is usually the colour of Yellow flowers that are in the shade. | "Yellow Cheeses" are commercially produced large volume cheeses such as American Cheddar and American Swiss. The strong yellow colour of these cheeses may well be due to some food colouring, nevertheless they are instantly recognisable. Traditional Cheddars and Emmentals will be paler. | Potato Chips do vary in colour depending how long they fried for. This is the "golden" colour that is most usual. |
